This pandemic has taught us that the way that we have historically operated may not have been the only or even best way to operate. Now is a great time to reflect on operations, both prior to and during the pandemic, and to use the knowledge gained to move forward with resilience. What has worked well? What should we do differently? How can we create a long-term path that ensures the safety of our workers while also the success of our company?
The pandemic also has changed the lives of employees, creating stress with blurred lines of work and home; while at the same time providing many with more flexibility, less commuter time, and increased comfort with technology. While some may be eager to finally get out of their house, a good number of people are still anxious. To succeed in the post-pandemic era, leaders need new skills and capabilities, along with a well laid out and a clear plan.
